Troop 27 Scouts aid distressed driver
Recently, while performing a service project to clear snow drifts from fire hydrants, Troop 27 scouts came across a driver whose car had become stuck in the snow. Following the encounter, that driver sent a note of thanks... I am writing to thank the boys in Troop 27 who tried to help me dig out from a snowbank on the corner of Crestland and Ferdon on Saturday Morning February 8. You were a very bright spot on a troubled morning and made me smile. Your energy and will to help was appreciated. Thank you and your leaders. You are very kind young men. Way to go, boys! |
Leader training
Now is a great time to check up on your leader training status. Many BSA leader training courses are now completed online at MyScouting.org. At a minimum, Youth Protection training is required for all BSA registered volunteers. Youth Protection training must be taken every two years. Also, mark your calendars for an in-person Leader-Specific Training session to be held in Ann Arbor on Nov. 17. |
